Meet the Dynamic Duo behind His & Hers

Rob and Joanna met in high school, and became fast friends. After graduating, they lost touch, but reunited several years later. It was a match made in heaven, and soon enough, they married.

Rob started his career by joining the United States Navy and served as an Electronics Warfare Operator, receiving numerous commendations. After he was honorably discharged, he decided to become an Electrician, and spent the next several years attending an apprenticeship program before receiving his license. Never one to rest on his laurels, Rob started a casual hobby of auto detailing, frequently practicing on his wife’s BMW; soon enough they spent their spare time working on it together, educating and training themselves in the process.

Joanna attended Central Washington University, studying music education and performance. After graduation, she decided to not pursue music as a career, and got a job as a public servant in state government. She then worked her way up to a profession in social/financial services at a hospital, where she still works to this day. She has had an affinity for BMWs since she graduated high school, purchasing her first one in her early 20’s; her affinity turned to obsession and she became a BMW girl for life. Shortly after her husband started detailing her car as a hobby, she decided to join him, and it became something fun they did together.

After a while, they discovered that they were quite good at detailing, and that they actually enjoyed it. They decided to make it a business, and the rest is history!

Rob and Joanna currently live in Mountlake Terrace with their daughter, two dogs, and two cats.
